Another dead easy upgrade. Nicely designed and manufactured, it's the work of seconds to replace that old power connector and enable the wonderful world of usb c power!
Highly recommended.
It work great! But you have to make sure that your USB-C charger is able to output 12V. I would suggest the Ugreen Nexode 45W so you have enough wattage for everything for the console, and it's able to output 12V at 3A (36W) as well. The Gamecube do say "39W" on the label, but i don't think the console need that much power, especially you only use 1 controller and 1 memory card. If you ditch the disc drive to replace it with a ODE completely, it might take even less wattage. But quickly said,so far this is the best and solder-less USB-C mod out there, and easy to install too.
Note: you do need the special Nintendo 4.5mm gamebit or screwdriver to remove the special screws to open the console.
Amazing piece of equipment & didn't cheap out of flimsy PCB! Being able to use one of the many USB-C PD power supply sure beats the original brick gamecube PSU
