Dreamcast USBC Power Supply

Basics:

1. The OEM Dreamcast power supply is a combined 110v/240v AC to DC converter. This is quite inefficient and noisy, which can manifest in a “fuzzy” video signal. 
2. Also, plugging in a UK 240v supply to a 110v Japanese Dreamcast can cause damage to the Dreamcast.

What the robot_retro Dreamcast Power Board Offers:

1. Powered from a 15v or 20v Power Delivery USBC charger (e.g. Ankur, Dell, uGreen, etc.). Most 30W charger USBC will work (they have to be able to output 15v/20v). I recommend the uGreen Nexode mini 30W as this both excellent quality and value.
2. Tested to be between 90 and 95% efficient across all loads. 
3. Low signal noise and heat.
4. Drop in solution. No soldering, wires or complicated install required.
5. No flashing LEDS, perfect for clear shells.
6. Works perfectly with GDEmu.
7. Works with all Dreamcast models (PAL, Japanese, etc) and removes the risk of accidentally plugging in 240V into a 110V system and causing damage.
8. Overvoltage, over temperature and fused supply.
9. Includes 5V and 12V Noctua fan headers
10. Multicoloured 3D printed spacer.

Installation:

1. Unscrew the four bottom Dreamcast screws as shown in the photo.
2. Remove the top lid and then remove the two power board screws (see photos).
3. Fit the robot_retro board in exactly the same way as the OEM power board was removed.
4. Fit 3D printer USBC spacer.
5. Button up the console.
